Crochet chart designer for macOS
Draw crochet charts.
Keep every row countable.
Place familiar crochet symbols on rows or rounds, define repeats, check expected counts and export a clean chart without wrestling with a general drawing app.
Inside the actual app
The chart and its count checks stay together.
The native workspace keeps the symbol library, active row, expected count, repeat definition and export audit visible around the same chart. The screenshot below comes directly from the Release app.

CrochetGrid FAQ
Is CrochetGrid crochet chart software for Mac?+
Yes. CrochetGrid is a native macOS chart editor built for crochet symbols, rows, rounds, repeats and publication checks rather than general-purpose illustration.
Can I make crochet charts in rows and rounds?+
Yes. Start with a row-based or round-based layout, choose the active row and place symbols onto snap-aware positions.
Which crochet symbols are included?+
The current MVP includes chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, picot and increase symbols.
Does CrochetGrid check stitch counts?+
Yes. Set the expected count for a row and CrochetGrid reports missing positions, overlaps, incomplete repeat brackets and count mismatches before export.
What can CrochetGrid export?+
It creates an SVG chart, a printable PDF, a legend CSV, editable project JSON and a SHA-256 manifest inside a ZIP copy. Your source project remains separate.
Does it upload my patterns?+
No. Pattern editing, validation and export run locally in the current Release build, with no account required.
How much will CrochetGrid cost?+
The price is US$24 as a one-time purchase for one Mac, with no subscription. Secure checkout and DMG delivery are handled by Polar.
